HILTIBOLD is a project space within two showcases in the masonry retaining wall at Magnihalde / Goliathgasse. Each month two current artist positions are presented.
Proposal: showcase front to be dismantled entirely. Borrowing a shutter from the rear facade at Goliathgasse. To be mounted on a rod as pivotal point, allowing full 360º rotation. - My project has been judged by the organizers as unrealizable, due to too ample effort of logistics. After that I have decided to obstruct the view to the showcase with Blanc d’Espagne (Hommage to Bertrand Lavier), whereas the front is “opened“ by a QR-code, since with it one get’s access to the unrealized proposal in the net.
Background: trigger point for my proposition was a signboard on the Wiborada stairs, which lead from Goliathgasse to the near square where the saint is venerated. Wiborada got herself locked in during the 10th century, it means she stayed in a totally secluded room, which would be no option for me today.
