Property is a chain of rights and entitlements that symbolises the relationships and actions between people. Theft or expropriation can break this chain. - Opening the safe by force transcends appropriation. Here destruction creates a new order; not to steal money and claim ownership, but to create a new idea of access, handling and distribution of value. With an equal inside and outside, the void opens up new potentials. The economy of growth and accumulation of value becomes meaningless when the symbolic storage space for values is openly accessible and thus use, misappropriation and waste have to be rethought. The absence of content and the lack of protective function transform the broken safe into an instrument of sharing.
